This descriptive study is about the satisfaction and need of psychiatric outpatients and families for group psychoeducation. The investigators applied the principles and methods of teaching and learning to design, revise and rehearsal the content about adaptation for schizophrenia. The group psychoeducation was taken place once per week in a month. The topics include 'knowledge of schizophrenia', 'medication care11', 'crisis intervention and community resource', and 'interpersonal relationship'. The discussed issues in the group and the evaluation of psychoeducation were collected as data. The result shows that there are 61 subjects who completed the evaluation scale. Most of them are schizophrenic outpatients and their families. About 80% of the subjects feel satisfied and would like to attend the psychoeducation next time. In addition to the four topics of the group psychoeducation, the subjects also concern with the illness and its intervention, medications, social welfare resource, family interaction, and social withdrawal in daily life. In this study, we also analyze the group teaching experience and point out the psychoeducation directions for nurses to apply in the future. |
