Design Theory of the Drawing Decoration Craft of Traditional Architecture-Principle of 'Six Fits'

本研究從傳統建築裝飾工藝的相關文獻研究與實際案例分析，以「合」作為裝飾工藝設計的首要原則，並由「合」這個原則衍生出「合意、合圖、合字、合序、合材、合色」六大法則，並接續提出傳統建築圖像裝飾工藝的設計施作細則如下，以拋磚引玉，提供另一種設計思維參考：1. 「合意」：主題原則、符碼原則、布局原則。2. 「合圖」：視景原則、分割原則、層次原則、分界原則。3. 「合字」：尺寸趨吉避凶、數字趨吉避凶、數字等級制度、文字趨吉避凶。4. 「合序」：自然時序、施作工序、主從人序。5. 「合材」：因題選材、因材施藝、因地制宜。6. 「合色」：階級制度、象徵意涵、整素細艷。

This study discusses the design theory of traditional architectural decoration craft from the actual case analysis and the related literature research. From the study, we proposed that 'fit' is the most important principle in traditional architectural decoration and developed it into six principles in concept: 'fit in the expectation, fit in the frame, fit in the propitious sign, fit in the process, fit in the material, fit in the color'. Finally, detailed regulations of the architectural image decoration design were listed as follows： 1. Fit in the expectation: subject principle, symbol principle and layout principle. 2. Fit in the frame: visual principle, division principle, gradation principle and dividing line principle. 3. Fit in the character: size of good fortune, digital of good fortune, digital of social stratum system, and text of good fortune. 4. Fit in the process: natural succession, working procedure, and the master order. 5. Fit in the material: subject factor, material factor, and the geographical factor. 6. Fit in the color: social class system, symbolic meaning, the overall simplicity, and colorful detail.
