This study based on the methods of usability engineering, is aimed to investigate the behavior of professional theodolite users. The usability problems and experimental results by this study could offer some notes for the redesign of this device. According this study, the results obtained from mode scores were reasonable than mean scores. The most of usability problems occurred when the professional users read the raw data from meter. Near 10% professional users had disorient operator error. Shooting these disorient problems can decrease this kind of error. This research also validated that the usability engineering method can be used to evaluate the operational problems of professional instrument. |
