The study explored the key success factors for hospitals adopting a Learning Management System (LMS), and to find discrepancies between these success factors and the actual executive effects through hospital staff’s verification. The interviews and questionnaire survey were both conducted. Totally, 773 questionnaires were distributed to the employees of the case hospital, and 464 were returned, among which 422 were valid with a rate of 54.59%. The results were as follows: 1.The study concluded five dimensions of key success factors including the knowledge management process, leadership design, corporate culture, information technology, and performance appraisal. 2.The degree of staff’s awareness of the importance of key success factors of LMS was the highest, especially in corporate culture and information technology. 3.The staff showed medium satisfaction with LMS, and had the highest satisfaction in the knowledge management process of LMS. 4.The staff’s understanding of the importance degree of the key success factors of LMS significantly differed from the staff’s satisfaction with LMS. Adopting LMS through knowledge management can not only enhance the employees’ capacity, by reducing training costs and integrating the process, but also systematically manage knowledge, revealing the value of the information technique, and increasing medical quality. |
