參與衛教的民眾對骨質疏鬆症的知識、態度與其預防行為之研究

A Study on Knowledge, Attitude, and Behaviors of Osteoporosis among Participants in a Health Education Program

骨質疏鬆症會使骨骼變得疏鬆和容易碎裂，並且會增加骨折的發生機會，而嚴重影響人體健康與正常生活。本研究的主要目的在於瞭解參與衛教活動的台南市社區民眾對於骨質疏鬆症的知識、態度與其預防行為，並且探討影響其知識的相關因素。研究方法以問卷調查與骨質密度的超音波測量為主，並採用次數頻率與單因子變異數分析進行統計分析。在123名參加衛教活動者之中，87名完成問卷及骨密度檢查；骨質疏鬆症患者比率為17.24%（15名）。結果呈現：受測民眾對於骨質疏鬆症高危險群的認知較不清楚；雖然受測民眾的態度為正向，但較少從事避免滑倒預防骨折、服用鈣片、定期接受骨質密度測量等預防行為；教育程度與骨質密度測量結果是影響受測民眾知識的兩個主要因素，而且教育程度較低者與罹患骨質疏鬆症者對於骨質疏鬆症的認知較差。因此我們認為：預防骨質疏鬆症的衛教活動是必要的，以便加強民眾對該症的認識與預防，進而建立其相關預防與醫藥保健的知識。

This study was conducted to examine the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors on osteoporosis among participants in a health education program and to search factors influencing their knowledge. The results showed that 17.24% of subjects had osteoporosis. Most subjects could not clearly identify characteristics of high risk groups. The participants' attitudes toward osteoporosis were positive, but they seldom look steps to prevent fractures or measured their bone density periodically. Education and results of bone density test were significantly related to the knowledge scores and accounted for 19.27% of the total variance. Less educated subjects and subjects with osteoporosis had significantly lower knowledge scores than other groups. We concluded that health promotion activities to prevent osteoporosis are needed.
