With the development of advanced medical technology and changing societal values, the clinical nursing practice environment has become more complicated and multifaceted. Moreover, the gaps between nursing education, professional certification, and clinical reality may result in novice nurses' failing to adapt rapidly to the changing environment of a clinical nursing practice. The impacts of these issues include increasing nurse turnover rates, worsening clinical nursing practice environment, and wasted investment on nursing education. This article explores the issues concerning to the current cultivation of nursing professionals, analyzes the root factors of these issues, and makes strategic suggestions for academic and clinical nursing leaders to consider while developing relevant policies in the future. |
