In recent years, petrochemical accidents have become improtant issues in Taiwan.It motivatedthisstudyto investigatethefactorsbehindthe accidents, and to suggestthe possiblesolutionsto cope the tragedies.This study focuses on the effects of organizationalculture, personalfeatures, and managerial system on the industrial saafety. It found that the safety management of the firms, the qualityof generalmanagement, andtheconditions of work environments, has positive effects on the safety satisfaction of individual employee.The results showed that the quality of safety management, and general management, and the management of subcontractors in industrial safety of private and smaller firms is comparativelybetter than that of public and larger firms. Thestudyalsoshowedthatthefactors ofsafetyobligation,accident environmentprevention, and managerialqualitycontrolwere more significant thanthe factorof positionin termsof theirimpacton employee'ssafety attitudes.And firms that provide better safety trainingprogramshave better results on enforcingtheir employes'ssafety attitudes, safety management, and quality management. |
