The purpose of this project is to developa predictive model for multidimensional study of union commitment. Due to the increase of labor unionactivities in our country, how to amintain good labor-management relationship becomes an important becomes an important issue for both management and labor organizations. Through the process of dimension selection, questionnaires design, subject selection and measurement, as well as statistical analysis and conclusion, a mulatidimensional predictive model for union commitment is developed followed by the theoretical and practical implications of this study. The results showed: 1.There are four factors for union commitment: union loyalty, responsibility to the union, belief in unionism, and willingness to work for the union; 2.There is significant positive correlation between union commitment and union satisfaction; 3.Several demographic variables and company characteristics show significant differences in union commitment and union satisfaction; 4.Among all the predictive variables, union instrumentality has great predictive power to unioncommitment, followed by attitudes toward union. |
