The purposes of this study are to explore the conditions and relationship between the preschool teacher’s literacy about human rights and their disciplinary style of zero physical punishment. This study provides questionnaires as its methodology.The study involves two hundred and eleven samples of preschool teachers in Tainan area. Two instruments, “Literacy about Human Rights Scale” and “The Disciplinary style Scale of Zero Physical Punishment”, along with demographics were provided in this study.The findings are as follows.1. The mean value of the preschool teacher’s literacy about human rights education is 3.42, which is higher than the median value (2.5). It shows that the preschool teachers generally have the literacy about human rights education. 2.The preschool teacher’s literacy about human rights education would be significantly different while their demographics are different.3.The mean value of he preschool teacher’s disciplinary style of zero physical punishment is 3.29, which is higher than the median value (2.5). It shows that most of the preschool teachers generally provide with the disciplinary style of zero physical punishment. 4. The preschool teacher’s disciplinary style of zero physical punishment would be significantly different while their demographics are different. 5. The preschool teachers’ literacy about human rights and some variables of demographics could be the predictors of the disciplinary style of zero physical punishment. |
