Building Network Home Message Exchange System Using Android Platform

目前 Android 平台在商用電子產品的市場上受到廣泛的注目，本著開放的特質迅速的成為手機開發系統的崛起新星，除了ARM 系列架構的處理器外，做為家庭娛樂、通訊、網路和可攜式多媒體市場的MIPS處理器架構也宣佈支持Android 平台。雖然Android 平台如同Linux 系統，同樣採用開放原始碼的軟體散佈模式，但卻解決了傳統GNU/Linux的「函式庫相依性」問題，使得國內外廠商紛紛重視這個平台的加值潛力。有鑑於此，本研究將在一個低價位的嵌入式平台上進行Android 系統的移植，技術重點包括Android應用程式、函式庫和Linux 驅動程式底層的移植設計，此平台用於建構一個網路家庭信息交換系統，最後並以遠端控制及Android 應用程式實例為測試驗證，使此平台能運用在多元的資訊家電系統上。

Recently, Android platforms are very attractive on the market of commercial electronic products. Based on the open and free properties, it becomes a new star on the system developing for the mobile phones quickly. Other than ARM systems, the MIPS processor also announces to support Android platform for the market of house entertainment, portable multimedia, communication, and network devices.Though Android platforms adopt the open source distribution model of Linux system either, but the ‘library dependencies’ problems of traditional GNU/Linux will be solved, that makes domestic and international manufacturers pay much attention to the adding value potentiality of this platform. In view of this, this research will porting the Android system on an economical embedded platform, the main technologies include porting of Android Applications, Library, and Linux device driver low level designs. This system will be tested with a remote control example finally, thus enables this embedded platform being used in a network home message exchange system.
