Treatment of Age-related Maculopathy

老年性黃斑部病變是造成老年族群失明之首要原因之一，分為兩種主要型式：乾性及濕性。任一型式皆可持續惡化導致嚴重視力喪失。黃斑部病變之預防方式、乾性病變之補充療法皆在本文中闡明。另針對濕性黃斑病變之各種治療選擇包括抗血管生長因子療法、光動力療法、雷射療法等將在本文章中深入探討。同時，一個有關使用玻璃體內類固醇注射治療台灣常見之特殊表現型態息肉狀脈絡膜血管病變之小規模病例分析亦在本篇中提出。

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a leading cause of blindness in older adults. There are two types of AMD: dry and wet. Either type can progress and cause severe visual loss. The prevention of AMD and supplemental therapy for dry AMD were expounded. Various treatment options including anti-VEGF therapy, photodynamic therapy, and laser treatment were further discussed for the treatment of wet AMD. Meanwhile, A small case series of polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy commonly seen in Taiwan treated with intravitreal triamcinolone was discussed.
