本研究旨在以中原大學為例,探討品格教育的實踐與反思。為達研究目的,本研究採質性文獻分析法,輔以量化描述統計法。研究發現,該校品格教育的理念與實踐符合「教育部品德教育促進方案」中的「品德教育創新推動十大策略及做法」之評量標準;在理論基礎上,該校品格教育建構在全人教育的基礎,並與基督信仰的立校精神相連結。在內涵上,該校以二十一世紀人才培育的7教育觀及21i,具體鋪陳全人教育目標培育之品格人才;而「摯愛國家」、「敬業樂群」、「簡單樸實」亦是該校的優良傳統。在實踐上,該校透過通識教育的正式課程、潛在課程、服務學習、品格學程、經典閱讀、融滲教育、傳統活動等多元教育方案,與每月主題式德目之班級討論等方式實施;而品格典範資料庫的使用,亦對品格教育之推動有助益。根據研究發現,本研究提出具體建議,作為品格教育實務推動及學術研究的參考。
英文摘要
The purpose of this study was to examine the implementation and reflect of character education in Chung Yuan Christian University. For the purpose of this study, the literature review and content analysis were used. Furthermore, a descriptive statistics analysis was also used to explore the findings. The results indicated that the idea and practice of character education was congruent with the criterion of ”Ten Creative Strategies and Actions of Character Education” proposed by the Ministry of Taiwan Education. Besides, on the basis of Holistic Education, the idea of character education was built up and also connected to the traditional spirit of Christian faith. On the basis of qualitative analysis, the content of character was mostly related to 7 educational perspectives and 21i. On the practice of character education, a variety of promotion projects were took such as: formal curriculum of General Education, hidden curriculum, service learning, character curriculum, paradigm articles reading, infused teaching, traditional activities, etc. Finally, the use of ”Holistic Character Web” was useful for the supplemental function of character education. Suggestions and recommendations for the future practice and research were also discussed.
