The purpose of this study is to explore current application of narrative approach in kindergarten educational research field and further explore the controversial issues proposed by narrative approach by analyzing the content of domestic kindergarten educational graduate theses from 2001~2011 on the narration of teacher's story by document analysis. In short, several suggestions are presentedfor future related studies. Narration is the basic approach of thinking and organizing knowledge. However, narration is more than telling stories. The application on education has to combine both reflection and recognition, that is how narrators interpretthe content of stories to further connect themselvesto the listeners, which gives meaning to the given stories. As for the narrators, the whole process is just the reconstruction of experience and knowledge. Therefore, narration is an important way to think, interpret and evaluate the events. Most readers are no experts in qualitative research, thus, from the perspectives of research value, the focus is on what inspiration on the educational research the life stories of narrators bring. Whether the narrative analysis is the gold-threaded robe, which provides solid and logical thinking context or the emperor's new clothes, which provides stories only seen by the narrators will be a challenge which narrative analyzers are faced with when constructing theories. |
