Early childhooddisaster educationis helpful to plant the roots of disaster prevention down, and thus enhance the children's awareness of disaster prevention and self-protection capabilities. This study aimed to find the learningeffects of integrating fire prevention education into theme courses, discussing possible derivative problems and getting solutions. This results of research indicated that the implementation of fire prevention education can be achieved not only through random teaching, but also through the theme courses. The implementation of fire prevention exercise courses was helpful to enhance children's awareness of fire prevention. This study also found that teaching materials designed specifically for fire prevention were insufficient. Preschool Educators can prepare materials of fire prevention by themselves depending on experiences and abilities of young children. Through teaching reflection and cooperation of teachers to faceand solve problems, the effects of fire disaster education can be achieved gradually. |
