The paper investigates the international logistics development environment of Taiwan from the perspectives of logistics service providers. After literature review and industry interview, we obtained 25 variables for the evaluation. Questionnaires designed with the 25 variables are dispatched to logistics service providers. After conducting factor analysis, we abstract four factors: customs, government policy, incentive plans, and fundamental logistics environment. Ridit analysis and importance-performance analysis (IPA) are formed together to analyze factors to be concentrated or postponed. We found that variables related to customs are considered relatively more important and more satisfied than others and should be kept up with. Some variables belonging to logistics policy and incentives are regarded as important as that of the customs but have lower satisfaction level. From IPA analysis, these variables require special attention from the government for the development of the international logistics environment of Taiwan. |
