Due to the development trends of globalization and international logistics, the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) is becoming one of the important policies of Taiwan's government for strengthening the competitive advantage of air/sea port. Therefore, the organizational structure of the administration of air/sea port should make some adjustments or changes to cope with the changes of macro marketing environment. The purpose of this study focused on some issues about organizational changes of FTZ and proposed some development strategies regarding to the short run and the long run. The findings suggest two main strategies, separating the administration as well as the operation of FTZ and coordinating the management of landside area. In the short run, the government should maintain the original structure of organization as could as possible and coordinate different ministries to manage the affairs of FTZ. While in the long run, it should establish a specialized organization to administrate the FTZ for encouraging FTZ development and carrying out the spirit of FTZ. |
