本文主要描述「番秀才」形成的過程，與其對於部落所發揮之功能，並探討為何部落(番社)需要採取「番秀才」制度。此外，本文則把視角擺放在面對清帝國統治如此的變局，部落(番社)將如何因應，並以此觀點為基礎，透顯出不同於漢人取得科舉功名之看法。 |
| 英文摘要 |
This paper describes the forming process of “indigenous Xiucai”， and how indigenous Xiucai affected the tribe， and why the tribe needed indigenous Xiucai. In addition， this paper focuses on how the tribe devised strategies to face the rule of Qing Empire. It tries to view the tribe as an active subject in this paper， representing different functions of imperial fame for the indigenous people and Han Chinese. |
