The main purpose of this study was to understand the influence of gifted education on the achievement of the math and science gifted senior high graduates. Semi-structure interview was used in this study. The major findings were as follows: All subjects benefited from the gifted programs that they had participated in. They reported that schools had special arrangements for them such as providing challenging curriculum, creating better learning atmosphere, promoting their problem-solving skills, and arranging more enthusiastic teachers for them. The subjects realized that high school learning experiences had positive influence on their achievements. The subjects also provided several suggestions for educational agencies, teachers, and parents. According to the results, the researcher proposed some suggestions for school and educational guidance. |
