The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a behavioral support plan on off-task behaviors of a student with multiple disabilities. The subject was a third grade junior high school student with both visual impairment and mental retardation. The withdrawal design of a single subject research was used in this study. A functional behavior assessment was independent variable, while the frequency of off-task behaviors and positive behavioral were dependent variables. Data was collected during the baseline, treatment, and maintenance periods, and was analyzed with visual analysis method and C statistics. At the end of maintenance period, all participators were interviewed to examine the social validity of this study. |
