From User to Communication of Bulletin Board System (BBS) Research in Taiwan

過去台灣的電子佈告欄(Bulletin Board System, BBS)研究主要都由使用者出發。研究多半涉及BBS 中虛擬社群的組成、運作的維持與衝突，並透過訪談使用者或發放問卷的方式詢問或調查使用者的動機或想法。這種傳統社會學的理解方式，在目前已經藉由電腦與網路引入而到達的「下一個社會」，是否還足夠理解網路中的各種現象？研究文試圖引入系統理論脈絡下的溝通概念，為下一個社會提出一個可行的觀察方式，並以BBS為例進行經驗性的說明，藉此補充從使用者角度出發的觀察視野。

The majority research interests of Bulletin Board System in Taiwan aimed at users. Most of researches concern compositions, operations and conflicts of virtual community, and investigate motivations, thoughts or experience of users by interview or questionnaire. Could these typical sociological methods analyze sufficiently various phenomenons in next computer- and internet-based society? Communication in the sense of system theory might be a feasible answer to observe the next society.
In this study, we took an empirical example like Bulletin Board System and try to complete and enlarge the observation field of the research of user perspective.
