This study is aimed to build a competitiveness index system that is suitable for public elementary schools in Taiwan, to analyze and evaluate their competitiveness, provide information for schools to address and prioritize their directions and ultimately to improve the quality and maximize the efficiency of school education. Specifically, there are four goals for the study: first, to analyze the factors of the competitiveness index system for public elementary schools in Taiwan; second, to construct the competitiveness index system for public elementary schools in Taiwan; third, to analyze the convergence and consistency of the competitiveness index system for public elementary schools in Taiwan; finally, to analyze the importance of the competitiveness index system for public elementary schools in Taiwan. To achieve four goals mentioned above, this study begins with document analysis, follows with interviews with target groups and questionnaires with Delphi Technique. And according to the results, practical recommendations are provided for future reference when constructing the competitiveness index system for public elementary schools in Taiwan and evaluating the performance of public elementary schools in Taiwan. |
