This paper discusses the perspectives of both labor and management toward training effectiveness. The collected data is analyzed by the respondents' personal characteristics (i.e. age, level of education, and years of service) and business traits (i.e. capital types and numbers of employees). The study was performed by literature review and questionnaire survey. Samples were selected from the target population of 200 top service sector companies listed in Common Wealth Magazine (1996) in Taiwan. A total of 1000 questionnaires were distributed to each company with an effective response rate of 25.9 percent. The factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and post-hoc Duncan's multiple-range comparison have been used to analyze the collected data. Based on the research findings and analysis results, conclusions are provided for companies as an aid for improving their training programs in the future. |
