We developed the fuzzy sequential testing model (FSTM) by introducing fuzzy logic to set the hypotheses, and applied it to the practical field. The following are presented in this paper: introduction, FSTM, case examples, and conclusions and discussions. The topic and contents of this paper were developed after we reviewed the related literatures and documents. The steps developed by us included the following: from introduction to the sequential test to defining a fuzzy set, and the need for probability and mean for the hypotheses for fuzzy statistics to construction of FSTM. Using the FSTM, an attribute type from a course of dyeing hair and a variable type from the maintained expenses control of the computer teaching rooms, both could be employed to prove that FSTM can be applied to the practical field. This paper has derived the following conclusions: (1) Our study not only combined the statistical theory and fuzzy logic, but also supported the theory and demonstrated the process of our model, i.e., FSTM, development; (2) The fuzzy logic was introduced to set the hypothesis, and promoted sequential test to a more powerful level; and (3) Using FSTM, any data type can be used to set the hypotheses to make a decision. |
