貨櫃船的出現改變了航運及周邊產業，也促成了海運勢力的重組， 本文前半部份介紹新近探討貨櫃化起源及演彎的研究成果，後半部份根 據原始檔索，討論貨櫃化對台灣的影響。

The container changed the shipping and relevant industries, as well as the re-organisation of maritime forces. This paper discusses the publications on the origin and evolution of containerisation; the conclusion is based the primary sources, for research on the effects of containerisation on Taiwan.
