近代以降，中國史學一直追求與社會科學結盟。朱謙之為首的「現代史學派」即為重要一脈。文章在論述了該派史學社會科學化在課程改革、理論研究、實踐操作及其與主流的考證考古派、唯物史觀派關係上的各種表現的同時，注意揭示其產生的具體語境、特點和得失，以為今天史學的跨學科提供經驗教訓。

From the modem onwards, the Chinese history always made great efforts to ally with social science, the modern history school that Zhu Qianzhi took the head inside was a significant group of attempters. The article dissertates a series of their representations how history intercross social science, including curriculum innovation, theory study, operation, and the relationships among the modern school, the textual research and archaeology school and the textual criticism school that had become mainstream. At the same time, the paper pays attention to open out the idiographic backdrop how the school came into being, its characteristic, success and failure, and so on. The facts and influences displayed could be used as reference for cross-disciplinary in history study today.
