In order to meet the need to establish the basic status of competition policy and build a unified national market, and to draw on the practical experience of other countries in assessing fair competition, China has begun to explore the establishment of a fair competition review system. At present, the fair competition review system initially established in China has problems such as weak willingness and independence of fair competition review, professional capacity of review to be improved, weak certainty of specific review rules and inadequate review mechanism, which restrict the realisation of the purpose of the fair competition review system. In order to strengthen the implementation of the fair competition review system in the future, it is necessary to further popularise the culture of competition, refine the review rules and improve the review mechanism in terms of creating a social atmosphere conducive to fair competition review, enhancing the certainty of specific rules for fair competition review, and strengthening third-party evaluation.
