This article examines the trademark laws and regimes of Indonesia, Japan, Korea, mainland China, Taiwan, the Philippines, India, Singapore and Malaysia. It first looks at the general trademark landscape of those economies, then reviews specific trademark issues, such as trademark use, keyword advertisements, the protection of well-known trademarks, the limitations of trademark rights, and trademark infringement and damages. It concludes by summarizing some Asian trademark features that can be of reference value for other jurisdictions. |
