Sexual health care is a complicated nursing intervention. With the application of sexual health care model, the nurses could apply patients’ sexual health related information to nursing assessments, as well as to nursing process to further understand patients’ sexual health problems. As a result, the goal of the holistic care may be achieved. Application of PLISSIT and BETTER model should be encouraged in the clinical settings to examine factors influencing sexual dysfunction among patients, to offer relevant information or suggestions, or to assist transferring patients to realize further professional treatments. We hope that the goal of holistic care could be accomplished through the applying of sexual health care. |
