Pregnancy will affect the body image of the pregnant women and lead to a positive or negative result.The literature on the conceptual analysis for the body image of pregnant women is not available until now. Therefore, the purpose of this article was to describe conceptual definitions and attributes of body image in pregnant women by applying the Schwartz-Barcott and Kim hybrid model of concept analysis methodology. The results might inform nurses to have better understanding of body image in pregnant women; therefore, they can assess pregnant women’s body image as early as possible and improve their health condition. |
