A Preliminary Study of Professionalism of Preschool Teachers in Taiwan

中文摘要 本研究從探討幼兒園教師師資角度,分析臺灣幼兒園整體教師素質,研究方法以大數據資料進行分析,發現:(一)教師素質可分為外在因素與內在因素;(二)影響的層面包含:職前教育課程、教師實習制度、教師資格檢定、教師導入計畫、教師評鑑制度、教師專業發展;(三)自96學年度以後臺灣幼兒園教師人數呈現負成長,99學年度達歷年最低;(四)臺灣幼兒園教師仍多由女性擔任為主;(五)自95學年度起幼兒園教師在碩士與博士學位者呈現正成長;(六)101學年度以後,園長、教學支援人員、助理教保員人數逐年下降;(七)98學年度以後,學前教育經費有逐年遞增之趨。最後依據現況,提出具體建議,以供未來研究參考。
英文摘要 This study conducted big data analysis to investigate the overall teacher professionalism of preschool teachers in Taiwan. The research results are as follows: (a) Teacher professionalism can be divided into external and internal factors. (b) Teacher professionalism is influenced by several aspects including pre-service teacher education courses, teacher internship, teacher certification assessment tests, induction programs, teacher evaluation, and teacher professional development. (c) The number of preschool teachers in Taiwan has declined since the academic year of 2007 and reached the lowest point in the academic year of 2010. (d) The majority of preschool teachers in Taiwan are female. (e) The number of preschool teachers who have a Master’s or Doctoral degree has increased since the academic year of 2006. (f) The number of preschool directors, teaching support staff, and educare assistants decreases annually after the academic year of 2012. (g) Funds for preschool education have increased year by year since the academic year of 2009. According to the current situation, this study proposed specific recommendations that can be references for future studies.
