| 英文摘要 |
Henoch Schonlein purpura (HSP) is characterized by systemic vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels) and the deposition of immune complexes containing the antibody IgA. This is a presentation of a rare case of HSP with testicular torsion. It is believed to be the first case studied in Taiwan. This is the case of an 8-year-old boy diagnosed with HSP and acute scrotum. After a color Doppler ultrasonography exam, testicular torsion was suspected and surgical treatment was performed. The patient recovered well after the operation. The related literature is reviewed and summarized in this article. |
