Nursing care is the pursuit of a safe and patient-centered service. Therefore, accurate implementation of nursing quality monitoring is a very important issue. From investigating, we found that the major issues included insufficient recognition of the nursing monitoring procedures and unclear nursing monitoring principle. This project was set up to establish a standardized educational training program to promote the nursing monitoring accuracy. The program included a rectified nursing care quality monitoring system, a standardized clinical nursing procedure, supervision of clinical bedside auditors, and a training course of nursing care quality. After implementation, the accuracy of nursing monitoring increased from 62.4% to 92.5%. This protocol promoted the quality of care and monitoring accuracy of our nursing staff and advocated the concept of patient-centered care in our hospital. |
