Legal information retrieval is one of the first technologies researched and placed in use in the area of law since the 1960’s of last century. As various databases rapidly increase, this paper argues that we should treat legal information retrieval as bridges connecting dialogs among researchers. It provides opportunities for mutual examinations and argumentations; help ones delve deeper into issues of a problem, and reflect on one-selves at the same time. The emerging trustworthy AI legal environment requires good legal decisions and sound legal institutions, the wisdom of jurists is critical. Cut and paste in law school writings violate academic ethics; and most of all, one’s core competitiveness is lost for not used to legal reasoning, argumentation and self-reflection. |
