Prior research on military adjustment of soldiers most focus on personality and neglect the influence of personal psychological strength. Thus, this study explores the relationship among dispositional mindfulness, mental toughness, and military adjustment of soldiers. Using convenience sampling to collect surveys from 407 army soldiers, structural equation modeling with bootstrapping is applied to study the relationship among variables. The findings show dispositional mindfulness and mental toughness have a significant positive effect on military adjustment, where mental toughness partially mediates between dispositional mindfulness and military adjustment. In sum, dispositional mindfulness and mental toughness are important personal factors that affect military adjustment. Therefore, in addition to changing the external conditions of work or barrack, assisting soldiers to strengthen their positive psychological attributes such as mindfulness and mental toughness may enhance their adjustment in the army. Based on the results, the researcher provides suggestions for the management of the military.
