Introduction of Taiwanese Criminal Code for Cybercrime

Due to the fast development of the information technology, the legislators in Taiwan have amended Criminal Code, to deter the increasing of internet crimes, instead of creating a whole new cyber crime code. At the same time, although Taiwanese courts have little discretion when facing the criminal legal issues brought by the internet and all kinds of online activities, it can be seen that the courts have incorporated some internet related crime issues into the existing codes by extending the definition of the legal terms used in Criminal Code in some cases related to internet crimes in recent years.
