Use Edge AI Device to Perform OCR on Panel Information

邊緣AI設備具有Ubuntu作業系統、人工智慧晶片及5瓦低耗電的特點，可及時處理複雜影像後將所需要的數據資訊傳至伺服器。邊緣設備加上取像設備就如同指派一位操作員盯著機台看，藉由印刷廠智慧化升級轉型的機會，將邊緣及取像設備設置於傳統印刷機的面板前，達到即時的光學字元辨識（OCR），取得的數字及文字傳回到雲端資料庫，之後再藉由網頁達讓上游的客戶也可即時查看印件的最新進度，以利將印刷廠的生產訊息整合至客戶的智慧化系統內。邊緣設備的運用將可擴及現場作業時的檢查工作，例如可變印紋的號碼。

The edge AI device features the Ubuntu operating system, artificial intelligence chip and 5-watt low power consumption. It can process complex images in a timely manner and transmit the required data information to the server. The combination of edge and imaging devices is like assigning an operator to watch the machine. Taking advantage of the opportunity of the printing plant's intelligent upgrade and transformation, the edge and imaging devices are placed in front of the panel of the traditional printing machine to achieve real-time optical character recognition (OCR). The acquired numbers and text are transmitted back to the cloud database, and then transmitted through the web page so that upstream customers can also view the latest progress of the print in real time, thereby facilitating the integration of the printing plant's production information into the customer's intelligent system. The use of edge devices will be extended to inspection tasks during on site operations, such as variable data printing.
