技術型高中專業科目教師招募困境與精進──並綜述焦點話題之文章

Challenges and Improvements in Recruiting Specialty Teachers for Vocational High Schools–A Review of Articles on the Focus Topics

技職教育教師招募困難已成全球性問題，多國技職教育面臨師資短缺，我國亦有相同之困境。技術型高中專業科目教師招募艱困，將導致教學品質的下降，需嚴肅面對與妥適因應。討論技術型高中專業科目師資不足，可從自主決定及社會文化觀點進行分析。具體策略包括：推動技職教育薪火相傳運動，喚起個體擔任技術型高中專業科目教師之使命與認同；提供教師職業歷程的資訊，以媒合職業性向契合度高之個體擔任教師；提升教師薪資福利，輔助教師穩定之生活條件；提供新進教師社群支持，以融合學校文化並與其他教師合作及分享；轉化學校問責的作法為社群支持，以協助新進技術型高中專業科目教師改善教學與專業實踐。本文另簡介焦點話題之5篇文章，期星火之光能引發對技職教育師資培育及招募問題之重視。

The difficulty in recruiting vocational technical education teachers has become a global problem, with many countries facing a shortage of teachers, including Taiwan. The difficulty in recruiting specialty teachers for vocational high schools poses a serious challenge that must be addressed appropriately, as it will lead to a decline in teaching quality. The shortage of vocational high school specialty teachers can be analyzed from the perspectives of Self-Determination Theory (SDT) and Sociocultural Theory (SCT). Specific strategies include: promoting a vocational technical education succession movement to awaken individuals' sense of mission and identity as vocational high school specialty teachers; providing information on teacher career paths to match individuals with high career aptitude with teaching positions; improving teacher salaries and benefits to support stable living conditions; providing community support for new teachers to integrate into school culture and collaborate with other teachers; and transforming school accountability practices into community support to assist new vocational high school specialty teachers in improving their teaching and professional practice. This article also briefly introduces five articles on the focus topics. It is hoped that these sparks will ignite greater attention to the issues of teacher education and recruitment in vocational and technical education.
