In 2016 I published a book on medieval utopianism, a topic that many scholars probably thought was an oxymoron. In fact, my idea for the book was inspired by my own musings on the work of Renaissance scholars and others who have argued that utopianism as a concept began with Sir Thomas More and his 1516 book Utopia.
