This article summarizes and expands upon the insights presented by Professor Iping Lin during his keynote speech,“Integrating AI into Teaching,”at the 2025 Academic Conference on Gifted Education. It explores how AI is reshaping both learning approaches and instructional roles within gifted education. From the student perspective, the article discusses essential competencies for the AI era, including questioning literacy, creative thinking, and AI literacy. It also examines how AI facilitates inquiry-based learning, self-directed learning, and differentiated instruction. From the teacher perspective, it reflects on how the integration of AI impacts teacher roles, academic ethics, and educational equity. Finally, drawing from the lecture and the author’s extended reflections, the article proposes key adjustments and considerations that gifted education environments and practitioners should make in response to the growing influence of AI. |
