The Liudui Loyalty and Righteousness Shrine, located in Xishi Village, Zhutian Township, Zhongdui County, is an officially constructed sacrificial center and a spiritual symbol for the Liudui Hakka people, representing the quintessential meaning of loyalty and righteousness. It is considered a sacred place within the local landscape and has thus been a frequent subject of Liudui poetry and literature. This article, through the collation and discussion of relevant classical poems, concludes that: 1. The authors of classical poems about the Loyalty and Righteousness Shrine are primarily from Liudui, who share a sense of mission regarding the shrine's historical significance, rise and fall; 2. Poems from different periods reveal their respective focuses; 3. In writing about the Loyalty and Righteousness Shrine, the poets largely share common values, not only contemporary but also its historical significance. The poems of past poets reveal their remembrance and reverence for the righteous people of Liudui, further demonstrating the weight the Loyalty and Righteousness Shrine holds in their hearts; therefore, the unity, mutual assistance, and concerted efforts of the Liudui people are key to the enduring strength and enduring spirit of the Liudui Loyalty and Righteousness Shrine. |
