This study explores how university libraries extend their resources to the community. It documents the process of librarians bringing library resources into the community and organizing picture book reading clubs, covering their implementation, group dynamics, and impact. The study highlights a new integration between university libraries and community work. It aims to encourage librarians to take on more active roles, enhance university library engagement in the community, and strengthen university-community partnerships. Finally, it suggests incorporating community learning and civic engagement courses into librarian training to expand their skills and deepen the community connection of library services. |
