Currently, there are a variety of colored painting healing picture books released for the general population. Picture-coloring groups are often held in dementia-care groups. According to the researcher’s clinical observation, there is some consistency between the performance of the coloring painting and the functional changes of the person with dementia. This study retrospectively observed the collection of picture-colored works of two patients with dementia, who attended coloring painting group in a psychiatric teaching hospital from March to September 2019. When comparing their picture-colored works with cognitive and activities of daily life (ADL) function, the results showed that there was consistent trend change among the performance of coloring painting, cognitive and part of ADL function among the patients with dementia. |
