This paper discusses the characteristics and historical context of minimalist style by analyzing the significance of the exhibition“Primary Structures”, and the cultural imaginations it triggers. This paper argues the purpose of museum’s control over how emerging art style and retrospective exhibition of“Other Primary Structures”should be discussed. It also points out the significance of objects and structures in“three-dimensional works”within the context of minimalism, as well as the importance of the presence of, and the time spent by, audience in artistic creation. |
