The genus Eumachia DC. has been poorly documented and studied in Vietnam. In this research, we provide a taxonomic revision of this genus based on available specimens. Five species, E. chasaliifolia, E. montana, E. ovoidea, E. sondangii, and E. straminea, are recognized in Vietnam: E. sondangii is described as new to science; E. straminea is recorded in the country for the first time; a new combination is provided for E. chasaliifolia, and two lectotypifications are made for Chassalia ovoidea and Psychotria chasaliifolia. For each species, description, color photographs, phenology, distribution, and habitat are provided. A key to the Vietnamese Eumachia species is also provided. |
