Recently, the energy and environmental issues received a lot of attentions about reducing environmental pollution and renewable energy promoted by energy policies of global countries. The academic and industry are putting many efforts to improve the efficiency of energy materials adopted with the environmental-friendly processes. Generally, the sample is tested in a static state to study its characterization. However, the investigation of the dynamic state which contains the very important information such as the charge transfer, the valance state variance, and the chemical environment change, respectively, during the catalytic process, battery charging and discharging process, and the transistor operation process. Soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) is a powerful tool to extract electronic information of materials due to the highly sensitive and the element specific measurements. Because of the strong attenuation of soft X-ray in air, developing liquid and gas sample cell is indispensible for the in-situ/ operando measurements to study the dynamic state of energy-related materials. |
