Multigene genealogy and morphology unveil one new genus, one new species and one new combination of boletoid mushrooms (Boletaceae) from Indian Himalaya

The present study from the state of Uttarakhand (India) describes the new genus Singeroboletus in the subfamily Suillelloideae (=“Pulveroboletus group”) (Boletaceae, Boletales). This genus is supported by morphological and multigene molecular data. At present this novel genus is represented only by two Asian species, Singeroboletus hainanensis comb. nov. (based on Butyriboletus hainanensis) and S. himalayanus sp. nov. Detailed morphology, illustrations, micromorphological drawings and multigene molecular phylogenetic inferences are presented for S. himalayanus.
