Quality Surveillance of Microorganism and Preservatives in Commercial Baby Wipes

為了解市售嬰兒專用濕巾之品質是否符合衛生福利部公告之化粧品中防腐劑使用限制及微生物容許量之相關規定，衛生福利部食品藥物管理署委請各地方政府衛生局於112年1至6月間，於轄區內超市、便利商店、大賣場、百貨行、藥局、藥粧店、婦嬰用品商店等地抽樣嬰兒專用濕巾30件（含國產品21件、輸入品9件）進行防腐劑及微生物之檢驗。微生物部分檢驗結果皆符合；防腐劑方面，有6件檢出防腐劑與外包裝成分欄所標示之內容不符，其中1件檢出僅能用於立即沖洗產品之Methylisothiazolinone，且含量達0.00317%，已超出該成分使用限量（0.0015%），整體不符合率為20.0%，不符規定檢體均函送地方衛生機關予以行政處理，以保護消費者使用化粧品之衛生安全。

In order to investigate the quality compliance of preservatives and microorganisms in baby wipes, thirty samples were randomly collected by the local health bureaus from supermarkets, convenience stores, hypermarkets, department stores, pharmacy, drug and cosmetic stores, and infant product stores from January to June, 2023. Among them, twenty one were manufactured in Taiwan and 9 were imported. The results showed 6 samples (unqualified rate: 20%) were detected unlabeled preservatives and 1 of them was detected Methylisothiazolinone at 0.00317% which exceeded the regulatory limit (0.0015%) as preservatives, also methylisothiazolinone can only be used in rinse-off cosmetics. All the violated cases were sent to the local health authorities for further administrative processing.
