Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) is a non-invasive therapy that releases vascular endothelial growth factors during counter pulsation, repairing endothelial cells and improving arterial sclerosis. This case report aims to analyze the effectiveness of EECP in improving arterial sclerosis. The intervention consisted of five sessions per week, lasting one hour each, for a total of 35 hours. Evaluation measurements were taken at baseline(pre-test) and completing 35 sessions(post-test). Results: Completed 35 times EECP intervention, The baPWV showed a decrease from 1858 cm/s to 1443 cm/s on the right side and from 2098 cm/s to 1633 cm/s on the left side. The blood pressure data was also decreased. The parameter of cardiac index shows an increase of 20.2 cm in displacement with each heartbeat. After standardizing for a 3-kilometer speed (CMPB3), the average increase is 2.08 cm. EECP intervention can decrease blood pressure to provide vascular protection, and significantly decrease baPWV. Improvement in the cardiac force index enhances the patient's cardiac tolerance during exercise and improves their daily activity status. |
