This paper describes the advent of COVID-19, and the spread of the epidemic, when many hospitals in China and abroad already had nosocomial infections. We examined how to effectively control the spread of infections in closed psychiatric wards. The solution includes the promotion of hand washing and wearing masks, the wearing and taking off of protective clothing, and arranging for colleagues to participate in nosocomial infection prevention. Other solutions included COVID-19 physicals, online courses, and the implementation of COVID-19 prevention during the new patient admission process and infection control and disposal processes. The author used the health care failure mode and benefit analysis to explore the standard process of infection control in psychiatric wards to optimize the COVID-19 response process and improve the quality of care. The results showed that the number of COVID-19 nosocomial infections by June 30, 2021 was zero. In the face of the impact of the new generation of viruses, the results of this project will not only effectively improve the prevention and care of COVID-19 by the clinical front-line nursing staff, but also improve the quality of care for patients in hospitals. |
