The Decolonization of Algeria

我們先將回溯阿爾及利亞的阿拉伯化、以及鄂圖曼帝國的統治，接著探討法國的征服、以及阿爾及利亞的抗爭，然後考察法國的殖民統治、以及墾殖者的殖民主義，再來探究阿爾及利亞民族主義的發展、以及獨立戰爭，另外觀察法國在戴高樂上台前後的對策，最後檢視墾殖者在獨立戰爭後的再移民、回教徒難民的處境。

We shall begin with a review of the process of Arabization in Algeria and how it was ruled under the Ottoman Empire. We then look into the French conquest and the Algerian resistance. We further examine the French rule and the settler colonialism. In addition, we shall investigate the development of Algerian nationalism and the Algerian War of Independence. Efforts are made to explore the French policy in Algeria before and after General Charles de Gaulle came to power. Finally, we will observe the repatriation of the settlers and the plight of the Muslims in France.
